Policeman's Ball
Events of the Evening
5:30 – Doors Open
6:00 – 6:30 p.m. Dinner
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Recognition of Honorees
7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Auctions and Program
This year’s event returns to a classic formal evening focused on celebration, recognition, and community support. After hearing feedback from officers and guests, the 2026 Ball will feature a more traditional “date night” atmosphere with no themed attire — just an elegant evening to enjoy with your spouse, partner, friends, and fellow supporters of law enforcement.
The evening will include a plated dinner, awards presentation, silent and live auctions, Fund-A-Need opportunities, and dancing with a live DJ following the program.
Attire Guidelines
Formal attire is encouraged for the Evening of Honor. Guests are welcome to wear black tie optional attire, cocktail dresses, formal gowns, dress uniforms, suits, tuxedos, or dress jackets and ties. The goal for the evening is elegant, comfortable, and celebratory, a true night out honoring the men and women of the Evansville Police Department.
Dinner Information
Guests will enjoy a plated dinner and dessert as part of the evening’s program. Dietary accommodation information should be provided during ticket registration. A cash bar will also be available throughout the evening.
Awards Presented During the Evening
The Evening of Honor recognizes excellence, dedication, and service within the Evansville Police Department and law enforcement community. Awards presented during the event include:
• Howard Davis Peer Recognition Award
• EPD Hall of Fame Induction
• Civilian Employee of the Year Award
• Downtown Kiwanis Officer of the Year Recognition
• Community Partner of the Year Award
These awards celebrate the officers, civilian staff, retirees, and supporters who make a lasting impact on public safety in Evansville.
