2022 Trade/technical certification SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Evansville Police Foundation strives to support the Evansville Police Department’s
personnel through the distribution of trade scholarship dollars.

This Evansville Police Foundation supports the Evansville Police Department personnel by providing scholarships for higher education. This year the Evansville Police Foundation will award up to two $2,000 Trade/Technical Certification Scholarships. Scholarship dollars are awarded to the highest ranked students who meet the following qualifications:

  1. Applicants must be a child, grandchild, stepchild or step-grandchild under the age of 25 for an active, retired or deceased EPD employee;
  1. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent by June of this year;
  1. Applicants may receive up to two scholarships during the completion of a Trade/Technical Certification program and may apply for a scholarship consecutive years;
  1. Scholarships are used exclusively for tuition, program fees, program books and required program supplies at any accredited post-secondary institution that exists to teach skills related to a specific certification or technical certification.

The scholarship selection committee is comprised of community leaders from the education and business fields. The committee oversees the selection process and determines the scholarship winners. The selection committee is independent of the Evansville Police Department and Evansville Police Foundation

Applications typically open February of each year and are due by March 1.
